Later, you'll be able to decompress it also with WinRAR (or other .RAR extension compatible software).
WinRAR is notable for its speed, but also has multiple compression methods and advanced features like pack one file into more than one RAR file. This way is even easier to share huge files. You can also discover other features like AES data Encryption, autorun archives, and more.
WinRAR supports these formats: ZIP, RAR, CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, TAR.GZ, BZ2, TAR.BZ2, ACE, UUE, JAR, ISO, 7Z and Z. this program is not free... but maybe is the best compression program.

WinRAR is easy to use, supports different formats and is free. I use it whenever I want to exchange files of large sizes. It is my first choice to compress large volume files

It is one of the most useful tools I have tried. I use it to share large files and also to unzip the ones that are sent to me. I think that WinRAR makes it easy to share files.

For many years I use it. I started because it was free WinRAR and WinZip not. And they had the same functionality.
