JasperReports is an open source document generator that is one of the most popular out today. This program has been completely developed in Java and is able to use any type of data with any type of source and produce any type of documents using this in high quality that are perfect to view, print or export in a great variety of popular document formats, including HTML, PDF, Excel, OpenOffice and Word (PDF, XML, HTML, CSV, XLS, RTF, TXT).

JasperReports can use any source of data, allowing it to be expanded and used with just about any type of task manager you use. When it is not possible to access the data the program needs from JDBC, or when you do not want JasperReports to interact directly with your database, you will be able to add a specific database for JasperReports to use.
