Avast Free Antivirus achieve this thanks to its 8 shields of protection. Different modules that protect us from every known threat to our computer. Every shield can be deactivated or configured to fit our needs. This program also offers a big catalogue of extensions to customize our protection.
This version of Avast is more than an Antivirus. It offers an updater that alerts you if you have outdated software, and it gives you a link to download it (in paid versions it can update programs for you automatically. Also it haves a reputation system of files and websites, which gathers information from Avast users to determine an detect potential threats.
If we compare with other Avast software, this free version lacks for some utilities that we can find in Internet Security or Premier. For this reason, if you miss a firewall or the SafeZone feature, you will be have to pay a higher license. You can do it from the Avast market, included in this version (from here you can also get other extensions).
But it's free, and for his quality and power is one of the most used. As well for it's modern, tidy and beautiful interface, very user-friendly. Don't you have a security program and want a free one? With Avast! you have it.
