DjVu files are very usual for saving scanned documents and among those only for reading which cannot be changed. In this field, the best known programme is Adobe Reader, but there are very respected alternatives in the sector, such as WinDjView, a fast and reliable viewer, with one of the friendliest working interfaces.

The WinDjView programme is available both for equipment with Windows Operating System as well as Mac computers. Therefore there will not be any incompatability problems and the interface, in spite of certain differences, does not lose simplicity of function on the computer operating it. Furthermore, the download does not occupy too much space on the disk and it requires fewer resources to operate that Adobe software.

WinDjView enables both continuous movement as well as working with tabs, an option which offers a significant gain in time to operate over the document. All of these advantages (little space, low demand for resources, continuous movement, the tabs) must be considered if we are going to compare it with any similar programme for viewing DjVu files.
