Today we will talk about Microsoft Office 2010, one of the versions of the Microsoft suite most remembered by users, although unfortunately it no longer has official support and there is no legal way to obtain it.

What is Microsoft Office 2010?

It is the software suite from Microsoft, released on April 15, 2010. It is the successor to Microsoft Office 2007, featuring several improvements compared to its predecessor, without being as revolutionary as Office 2007 was in its time.

Among its main features are a smaller size, a simpler and more intuitive interface, help menus to guide users, and greater stability and performance. It had a version for Windows Mobile, although it was not successful due to the failure of these devices.

Each product that makes up this suite also had improvements, such as easier image handling in Word, the ability to include videos in PowerPoint, or improved problem-solving in Excel calculations. Moreover, it was the first time that Microsoft Office had compatibility for 64-bit operating systems.

Microsoft Office 2010 stopped receiving official support from Microsoft on October 13, 2020. Users who wish can continue using it, but there will be no more updates, online help, and security is not guaranteed.

How to download Microsoft Office?

It is not possible to officially download Office 2010, so if you decide to acquire an office suite, you will have to get Microsoft 365.

Downloading this new version of Office is very simple, just follow these steps:

1. First, go to the Office Portal page which you can type in any browser. Once inside, go to the Buy Now option.
2. Now go to the home option. Here they will offer you whether you want to pay a monthly or annual subscription. Click on buy now and log in with your email.
   You can choose the option to get Office 365 for families, which will allow 6 people to use the office suite.

4. We click on try 1 month for free, they may ask you again to log in with your Outlook email.
5. A screen will appear indicating that you are almost ready to use Microsoft 365. Click where it says Start Now, add a payment method. Now you can choose whether to pay with a card or Paypal. Remember that when your trial month ends, they will start charging you immediately.
6. Enter your card or Paypal account details and click save. Now choose if you want Microsoft to send you promotional emails and click Subscribe.
7. A thank you message will appear, click continue.
8. At the top of the screen that will appear, there will be a toolbar, go to the one that says General Information. Click on install applications and click again on install.
9. Wait for the installer to download and then click open.

That’s it, you will be ready to use Microsoft 365. You can change the subscription option at any time to decide whether you want to pay monthly or annually.

Use the same process to install Office on another computer, remember you have 6 accounts.

You have the option to buy previous versions of office, which are Microsoft Office 2019 and 2016. In these cases, you don’t have to pay a subscription as you make a one-time payment for these products.
