JoinUp Taxi is a practical and original application for Android that offers you a simple and easy way    get a Taxi for you, or even to use it to share one.    

To start, JoinUp now is cheaper than a traditional call (is you have had the number of a 'teletaxi'). From the same application you will be able to find a taxi close to you and get it. You do not have to pay anything until the taxi gets there. Moreover you will be able to specify parameters, such as getting an adapted taxi or a driver that accepts payments with a debit or credit card. Once you have gotten your taxi, you will be able to see the approximate pick up time on the screen.

You will also be able to reserve a Taxi up to a week in advance, specify the moment and the place where you need to be picked up.

But without a doubt, the highlight of JoinUp is in find a Taxi to share. You just need to indicate where you are going, how many passengers, if you have bags... and the app will search for 3 blocks and for 30 minutes to see if there are other travelers willing to share a taxi with you. If you do not find anyone, your solicitation will be active so that other users can see it later. It is also important to agree with users in shared travel ( where you will have to split the fare in even parts), but the application has some security measures, such as ratings for users and taxi drivers or the possibility for women to only look for women to share a taxi with.
