Google Goggles

Google Goggles is a very promising app that recognizes the images inside your pictures to help you finding all the information in Google about the object that you have taken a picture of. Even that it is not able to do this with all kind of pictures, the truth is that it does it really good with art works, texts, movies, etc.

With Google Goggles, if, for example, you are in a visit to a museum, you will be able to take a    picture of a picture and get at the moment a lot of information about it. Also, you can take a picture of a monument that you find in the street so Goggles give you all the information about its name, the author, the style, age, etc.    

Google Goggles makes also a really good work when recognizing text. You can take a picture of a visit card and add the contact to your telephone list without having to write the name or anything. You can also use it as translator. Take a picture of a menu of a restaurant when you do not know the language in which it is written and Google Goggles will try to translate it in the best way.

The app is, on the other side, a really useful bar codes and QR codes reader and, as a curiosity, you can also take a picture of a sudoku that you cannot solve and Google will look for the solution for you. The app works really well with the cases that we have used here as examples, but it is still being improved to be able to recognize animals, tress, food, clothes or cars, for example.

Install Google Goggles in your Android to start looking for information in Google in a very new way. Now, you do not need to write your queries, neither search them by voice, you just need to take a picture of what you see and you will get the information you need, details, products, opinions, and all that Google is able to find about it.
