Serial Splitter

Serial Splitter is an essential tool for making most of your serial ports. It allows you to create bundles of real and virtual serial ports by splitting, joining and sharing them among communication apps for data exchange.

The tool can split one physical COM port into two or more virtual COM ports that will appear as exact copies of the hardware port. Thus a serial device connected to the physical port can exchange data with the apps associated with the virtual ports.

It can also do a reverse operation, i.e. join several physical ports into one virtual, in case you need several serial devices to communicate with one application. Data received by one of the devices is forwarded to the joining virtual port and the respective app, and vice versa.

The tool makes it possible for a single hardware serial port to be opened by several apps at a time – you don't need to create virtual ports and assign each app to a particular virtual port.

Data can be routed from one serial port to another, whether real or virtual. This comes handy if some software has strict serial-port settings – you can just redirect the traffic to it without having to override those settings.
