Photomatix is a program with special technology called High Dynamic Range (HDR, which makes it possible for photos to be perfect in any area because of their high contrast. This program is very useful if you photograph scenes with high contrast due to large amounts of shade or light.    

The best part of Photomatix is that it does not require a lot of knowledge of professional photography and you will save a lot of money in material. The only thing you need for this program are photos taken with    different levels of exposure to make true works of art. The only bad part of the program is its slow processing of images, but this depends a lot on your operating system.

Photomatix includes an automated work mode for those that do not want to bother choosing characteristics and a manual mode for those that want to meticulously go through every detail of their photos. There is also a quick tutorial to learn how to use the program in a couple of steps and an extensive manual for those that want to know all the characteristics for editing their photos or want to learn more about the creation of HDR.    

Photomatix offers two ways to resolve problems with contrast in photos:

- HDR configuration of tones: highlights details and shadows in multiple HDR exposures.
- Merging exposures: Combines photos of different exposures with a wide dynamic range.
