jEdit

The open source programmes and applications have found their main field of development in Unix. this is how jEdit comes to us, it is a text editor for programming and primarily developed for this environment, but which is accessible now for others but always and when they have Java installed.

jEdit has a very similar interface to the great majority of these types of text editors. A similarity which makes it much easier to handle the programme after downloading it, this saves time and practice for making the most of its many different features. Among the most outstanding in this group we have to mention the improvement in the syntax of an extensive group of files, the localization of regular expressions, the use of abbreviations or the possibility of working through folders.
