Imagine that, suddenly, power supply goes off. You may think that it would be like going back 100 years or more. You hardly ever think about this, as you are used to switching lights on and off, that is normal, it has always been like that, but what if this ends one day? In the game Balance, you have to image the real challenges that an electrical operator has to face in order to assure us the supply. This app has been developed by Statnett, the system operator in the Norwegian energy system.

Why should I download the app Balance

First of all, if you want to enjoy this game, you do not need any kind of knowledge about electricity or electrical networks. The goal of this game is to succeed in keeping the supply constant and without cuts.

You will find lots of interesting mysteries to solve, such as:
- Knowing the amount of energy that we need to produce for the whole day and night.
- It is not about producing a huge amount of energy so that you make sure that there is enough of it, because the network can get overloaded.
- You have to build networks thinking about the way of balancing the supply before any kind of cut. If a line collapses, the network has to be ready to supply this line so that everybody has electricity.
