It is an open source application very functional for managing projects, with which you can have very good results. You could manager resources and task, and supervise in a comfortable mode the project in general. This application has the capacity for making Gantt diagrams, graphics, histograms, reports, it supports an unlimited number of tasks and you can manager them with a practical timeline. In other hand, if you choose OpenProj like a solution with the management of your projects, you could use it in any platform without necessity to pay something.
OpenProj is an effective program, very useful and relatively simple; its interface is certainly friendly and it offers a lot of possibilities that novels users must be discover. This program has been translated in a lot of languages, in order to be able to adjust it all needs and be flexible. And, moreover, it runs perfectly in Mac, Linux and Windows. For downloading the Mac version or Linux version you must go to the author website.

Why did you choose this software in front of others? It's free and simple, others gave failures when they worked, this was fine In what aspects does it have to improve? Integration with third-party tools Which features do you like the most? The Gantt chart since it is all very visual. What problems of your business were you trying to solve with this software? We use it to keep a record of the actions we take. Here is specified what we have done, when, who .... It is a free tool that although it is not the most complete, for those looking for something simple to manage projects like us, it is perfect. It is not the best tool to manage a large project, I think it lacks options and especially integration with other tools. What advice would you give other users? If you have a small project I recommend it, but better look for another option What impact have you noticed on your business? A more efficient management of time and it is much quicker to review what we have done with the projects, at what points we are and why we made certain changes, which helps us to make better decisions.

Functional and Free

It turns out that OpenProj is quite similar to Microsoft Project, but free. Of course, Mancan several advanced options of Microsoft software, but still very functional. This added to let you open Microsoft Project files makes me think that OpenProj should be designed for students. I think it is an ideal for projects that are not going to take the field of Business program.
