You can text and chat with this program for your smartphone or tablet as well as you'd do with the online Facebook service, smileys and emojis included. In the Facebook Messenger's main menu you'll easily find the previous conversation you had in your last access, and also the list of all your Facebook's contacts who are now online and available to chat with. One of the most noteworthy novelties is that it allows to send short voice messages to your friends.
Facebook Messenger is really easy to use and totaly intuitive for a quick usage anywhere and anytime you need it. It also allows you to create and hold group chats and there're a few customization features for your profile, you should modify if you don't want this software to show your location, for example. As a secondary function, you'll be able to take a look into your friends' Timelines and see what's going on in their lives.
This software will alert you with a sound effect whenever you receive a new message, so you never miss a conversation with your favorite contacts. It results useful in the theory, but there's a lack of actual useful features, too many unuseful features and, even worse, it crashes frequently. So it's not the worst app I've ever seen and I really think is useful, but in practice I think it needs to improve

I have been using Facebook Messenger for quite some time, I use it to communicate without having to go directly to Facebook. It's simple, fast, doesn't weigh much and you can send and receive files without problems
