Briquolo

Briquolo is a version of Breakout in 3D which replaces the blocks in the exterior area with wooden boxes in a swimming pool, demonstrating that the surroundings lack relevance in this classic game. Those who have played games like Breakout know how addictive it can be to bounce a ball in the right direction to destroy all of the blocks in each level.

This game has 16 levels each one more difficult than the previous one and, if they seem short, you can challenge yourself with the levels editor that Briquolo includes. Contrary to the rest of the programme, the editor is a little complicated to use. In each one of the Briquolo levels you will have special bonuses something which is usual in this family of games; one of them really causes attention, it changes the viewpoint to the first person (imagining you are looking from the position of the bar).

The programme doesn't need installation: you have to decompress the zipfile into a folder and run the briquolo.exe programme. Briquolo is a very entertaining game and addictive, you are warned, and it is available free under GPL (General Public License). Have a quick look and check out if it deserves a good place among the classic Breakout type games or not.
